Monday night's episode of Raw opened with Goldberg making an entrance with just three weeks remaining until his match against Brock Lesnar at Survivor Series, but he was quickly interrupted by Lesnar's advocate Paul Heyman, who whipped the crowd into a frenzy with a bit of cruel deception.
Heyman announced that client Brock Lesnar didn't want to wait until Survivor Series in Toronto, and instead wanted to face Goldberg immediately in Hartford. Lesnar's music hit - which drew a huge pop from the crowd - but after 30 seconds of nothing it was clear Lesnar wasn't walking through the curtain. Heyman burst out laughing and celebrated his prank, only for Rusev to show up uninvited and call out Goldberg for being a washed up legend.
Goldberg, who is now 49 years old, responded by hitting a jackhammer on the massive Bulgarian, then leveled Heyman with a spear.
