NXT TakeOver: Toronto Results: Authors of Pain vs. TM-61 Video Highlights

Can TM-61 shock the world and be the ones to finally defeat the Authors of Pain at NXT TakeOver: Toronto?

This is the final match in the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic between two of NXT’s top teams at NXT TakeOver: Toronto.  TM-61 has looked great in their matches but are simply waiting for their chance.  The Authors of Pain have run through ever tag team in the NXT Tag Team division.  They made their initial impact by taking out the then-Tag Team Champions in American Alpha.

A caveat to this match is that Paul Ellering will be locked in a shark cage above the ring.  William Regal wanted a fair finish but one must think that Ellering has something up his sleeve.

The Authors of Pain begin in dominating fashion but as the match before, TM 61 gain control outside of the ring.  Shane Thorne uses the structure that is holding Paul Ellering to take out the Authors of Pain.

As the match goes back into the ring, the Authors of Pain begin to cut off the ring but Thorne and Miller use their speed to mount a comeback.  Without Ellering, the Authors of Pain look like they’re in deep trouble.

Ellering throws a chain down to his team as predicted and Rosard uses it to his advantage.  Somehow the chain flies into the crowd but this was the setup to victory.  The Authors of Pain end the match with the last chapter.

The winner of the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic is the Authors of Pain.  One can suspect that the second annual winners won’t end like the first. What did you think of this match at Saturday night’s NXT TakeOver: Toronto live special?
