In one of John Cena’s cryptic Instagram posts, he may have shown support for Kevin Owens.
John Cena and Kevin Owens had one of WWE’s best feuds in 2015. Their series of quality matches had the wrestling world buzzing. Owens defeating Cena in his first main roster contest may have been the surprise of the program, and may have been the best one of the three.
It seems KO has advanced to the next level in WWE with his Universal Championship reign on the recent episode of Raw. He got assistance from Triple H to capture the title over Seth Rollins, Roman Reigns, and Big Cass.
On Saturday, Cena took to Instagram to post a photo that’s an endorsement of Owens. It’s an image from an old shirt from the former NXT Champion’s when he had been in ROH. He used his real name of “Kevin Steen” for the promotion.

Owens has done everything to earn the respect of someone like Cena, the others in WWE, and the fans based on what he’s done since signing in December 2014. He had one of the best debuts in NXT history by winning a hot opening match, and turning on Sami Zayn after the NXT Championship match. This took place at NXT TakeOver: R Evolution. Terrific matches with Cena, Cesaro, Zayn, and Dean Ambrose on the main roster warrant this, too.
The Prizefighter is over as a heel, as well. While he receives cheers from the crowd, his work as a bad guy has potentially elevated him to the top spot on Raw, while Rollins could turn face based on what happened last Monday.
