Goldberg Returns to WWE Raw, Accepts Brock Lesnar's Challenge
On Monday’s episode of WWE Raw, Goldberg made his return after 12 years away.
Monday’s episode of WWE Raw saw the return of wrestling legend Goldberg. His restructured relationship with WWE became public with his inclusion in WWE 2K17. The ESPN interview furthered things, which led to Paul Heyman addressing the former WCW star on the October 10 edition of the Flagship Show.
The result of Heyman’s appearance would be a challenge issued to Goldberg. He said how Brock Lesnar would face him “anytime, anywhere”, and looked for a response soon. So, the 49-year-old took to Twitter to announce he would be flying into Denver, CO to answer the challenge.
Well, the return would happen as Goldberg stepped into a WWE ring for the first time in 12 years. He got a huge ovation that lasted minutes and then spoke to the crowd. Goldberg then said he may have one last match left in him. He accepted Lesnar’s challenge.

The Lesnar vs. Goldberg bout will be a rematch 12 years in the making. They faced each other at WrestleMania 20, which saw the former World Heavyweight Champion win. This match had sent both men out of WWE as they previously decided to depart after the show. The Madison Square Garden fans realized this ahead of time and booed these two out of the building. Poor in-ring showings and not even Stone Cold Steve Austin could help the situation either.
WWE may be trying to write their wrong from 12 years ago. They may also be looking to make money off this star-studded match. Goldberg and Brock Lesnar are two polarizing names, especially when you can sell everyone on the former having his first match anywhere since 2004.
So, are you looking forward to the upcoming match between these two WWE Superstars?
