Goldberg made his latest appearance on WWE Raw and went through an interesting 15 minutes.
At WWE Hell in a Cell, Goldberg got advertised for the October 31 episode of Raw. This would be his first appearance since his Survivor Series match with Brock Lesnar got announced.
Goldberg would open Raw and try to speak. However, Paul Heyman would interrupt and start saying how Lesnar is here and wants to wrestle Goldberg now. This got everyone riled up, and The Beast Incarnate’s music even started playing. He didn’t appear, though, which led to The Advocate saying he fooled everyone.
Heyman would continue to boast about Lesnar not being here until Goldberg approached him. Rusev then entered the arena and stood face to face with the former WCW star in the ring. The Bulgarian Brute said that the 49-year-old doesn’t have anything left, and started taunting him. This led to an eventual slap, which Goldberg responded to by hitting a jackhammer. Heyman then got speared.

This segment didn’t accomplish much other than Goldberg can still use the jackhammer and spear. He looked a little clumsy when brawling with Rusev, as he lost his balance. It made for an awkward moment, which the former holder of a 173-0 streak recovered from.
We are now less than three weeks away from Lesnar and Goldberg facing off at Survivor Series. The likely main event is a rematch 12 years in the making, one that originally saw the former WCW Champion win before both men left WWE. The build toward this bout has been a bit of a rocky road, but there is still a handful of time left before we get to November 20.
