Bret Hart Apologizes to Seth Rollins, Triple H, and Fabulous Freebirds
After ripping The Fabulous Freebirds, Seth Rollins, and Triple H in past interviews, Bret Hart apologized to them all.
Bret Hart has publicly ripped WWE stars of the past and present throughout 2016. He went after Triple H, said The Fabulous Freebirds didn’t deserve to be in the Hall of Fame, and most notably made a handful of negative remarks to Seth Rollins. Comments about the two-time WWE World Heavyweight Champion revolved around him being unsafe in the ring. He noted breaking John Cena’s nose and injuring Finn Balor’s shoulder.
There has apparently been a change in thinking for The Hitman, though. On Thursday, he took to Facebook to formally apologize to The Fabulous Freebirds, Rollins, and Triple H.
Hart most interesting comment may have been the quote below. He seemingly heard that people thought of him as negative for his comments, but wants to show the wrestlers proper respect.
The reality of all this is the reason I quit doing podcasts in general, because they’re for the most part an outlet for negativity, and have left me with a reputation as being angry and bitter. I’m not, I’d spoke candidly and openly but it’s no excuse for minimizing other wrestlers or their contributions.
The full apology can be seen below.
Well, it’s good to see Hart trying to create a different public perception of himself. Michael “P.S.” Hayes was willing to bury the hatchet. Rollins and Triple H haven’t responded to this apology from the former leader of the Hart Foundation.
Bret Hart tends to be outspoken, so we’ll see if this is the end of comments like this. If he means it, then we’ll have to turn to someone else to be our grumpy WWE analyst.
