Alex Carbonel scored 18 points and Saint Mary's made four free throws in the last 25 seconds to beat No. 23 Gonzaga 66-63 Saturday, ending the Bulldogs' West Coast Conference winning streak at 34 games.

Down eight with 1:27 to play, Gonzaga reeled off seven quick points before the Gaels' Danielle Mauldin made two free throws with 23 seconds left. After Katelan Redmon's basket made it 64-63 with 8.7 seconds to go, Jasmine Smith made two free throws with 8.3 remaining.

Kayla Standish missed a 3-pointer from the top of the key at the buzzer and Gonzaga's 10 game winning streak came to an end.

Mauldin, Smith and reserve Mogan Hatten each had 11 for Saint Mary's (14-5, 5-1 WCC), which had lost 17 straight to the Bulldogs.

Standish led Gonzaga (15-3, 4-1) with 18 points. Redmon added 13, Haiden Palmer had 12 and Taelor Karr 10 for the Bulldogs, who hadn't lost a WCC game at home since late in the 2008-09 season to Portland.

Saint Mary's, which trailed 33-24 at the half, shot 60.9 percent in the second half while Gonzaga shot just 29.7, finishing at 34.3 for the game.
