EUGENE, Ore. (AP) Oregon won't renew the contract of women's basketball coach Paul Westhead when it expires at the end of the month.
The school made the announcement on Tuesday.
Westhead signed a five-year contract in 2009 and it runs out on March 31. He told his players before practice on Tuesday. The team will head to the Pac-12 tournament in Seattle on Thursday to play Washington State.
The Ducks (15-14) lead the nation in scoring, averaging 93.3 points in Westhead's up-tempo system. He is 65-90 in his five years at the school, including going 27-64 in the conference.
