Natalie Burton scored a season-high 11 points and Liz Repella also had 11 to lead No. 9 West Virginia to a 55-46 win over No. 16 Georgetown on Sunday.

Madina Ali added 10 points and 11 rebounds for the Mountaineers (22-3, 9-2 Big East), who have their highest ranking ever. West Virginia held Georgetown (20-4, 9-2) to just 23 percent shooting and outrebounded the Hoyas 46-36.

Burton only played 14 minutes, but led a scrappy defensive effort. The 6-foot-5 sophomore scored eight of West Virginia's final 12 points of the first half to keep Georgetown out of reach.
