No. 5 Duke women beat Wake for 37th straight time
Haley Peters had 18 points and 11 rebounds to lead four players in double figures as No. 5 Duke beat Wake Forest for the 37th straight time in a 75-43 victory Thursday night.
Elizabeth Williams added 16 points, Chelsea Gray 12 and Richa Jackson 11 with 11 rebounds in the 27th straight Atlantic Coast Conference win at home for the Blue Devils (18-3, 9-0), who had a 34-game home-court winning streak snapped in Monday's 61-45 loss to No. 3 Connecticut.
Chelsea Douglas led Wake Forest (12-10, 2-7) with 11 points while Lakevia Boykin added 10. Secily Ray had 12 rebounds with six points.
Duke's streak against the Demon Deacons is tied for the third-longest between conference foes. The longest is Stanford's 52-game streak over Washington State.
Duke, which beat Wake Forest 76-58 on Jan. 6 in Winston-Salem, led 36-19 at halftime behind 13 points from Peters.
