Christina Foggie scored 18 of her 23 points in the first half to lead No. 25 Vanderbilt to a 77-56 victory over Denver on Friday night.
Foggie eclipsed 20 points for the third straight game, knocking down a career-high six 3-pointers for the Commodores (8-0). She drilled three 3-pointers during a 15-0 run that allowed Vandy to pull away from the Pioneers (5-2) midway through the first half. Tiffany Clarke's layup with 8:11 left capped the spurt for a 30-10 lead.
Denver's sloppiness accounted for a 28-point halftime deficit. The Pioneers committed a season-high 23 turnovers, with Vanderbilt scoring 33 points off the miscues.
Katelyn Murdoch led Denver with 12 points on 2-of-11 shooting and Morgan Shell added 10.
Elan Brown had 13 points for Vanderbilt and Kady Schrann and Jasmine Lister each chipped in 10. Stephanie Holzer grabbed 11 rebounds to help the Commodores continue their best start in five years.
