Jasmine Hassell had 17 points and six rebounds to lead No. 12 Georgia to a 68-49 win over Georgia Southern on Tuesday.
Kha Miller and Jasmine James each had 16 points for Georgia (2-0), which had 31 points off turnovers.
Janay Wilson scored 10 points for Georgia Southern (0-2).
The Lady Eagles led 15-11, but could not sustain the pace against the Lady Bulldogs. Georgia went on a 13-2 run to take the lead for good, and limited the Lady Eagles to one basket in the final six minutes in the first half. Georgia led 38-26 at the half.

Georgia Southern cut it to 40-32 with 17:30 to play, but the Lady Bulldogs went on a 21-7 run to help seal the win.
