No. 11 Louisville 86, Florida A&M 66
Monique Reid came off the bench to score 22 points and Becky Burke added 21 to help No. 11 Louisville beat Florida A&M 86-66 on Saturday for a sweep of Florida's capital city schools.
The Cardinals (6-1) beat Florida State 85-76 on Friday night.
Reid was 8 of 9 from the field, and Burke was 7 of 9, including 5 of 7 from 3-point range.
Louisville shot 53.4 percent while Florida A&M shot just 31.4 percent.
Antonia Bennett led Florida A&M (1-4) with 21 points, Tameka McKelton added 14, and Quiana Donald had nine rebounds.
Louisville, which had a 47-37 rebounding edge, led 41-29 at halftime and opened its largest lead at 70-44 with 9:23 left on a Burke 3-point shot.
Bria Smith chipped in with 11 points for the Cardinals, who were able to overcome 27 turnovers.
Shoni Schimmel, who had 25 points against Florida State, had nine points for Louisville, all on 3-point shots.
Louisville was 9 of 17 from 3-point distance while Florida A&M was 9 of 29 from beyond the arc.
Reid, a 6-foot-1 senior, made 9 of 12 shots and scored 23 points in the win over Florida State. In the last two games she has boosted her scoring average from 11 points a game to 14.3.
Louisville, which hosts Murray State on Tuesday night, has won five straight since losing 76-58 at fifth-ranked Texas A&M on Nov. 15. Florida A&M visits Southern Miss on Tuesday.
