NC Central won't renew contract of women's coach

Joli Robinson is out as North Carolina Central's women's basketball coach after 16 seasons.

Athletic director Ingrid Wicker-McCree said Monday that Robinson's contract will not be renewed.

The winningest coach in school history, Robinson was 216-242 with the Eagles. They were 3-27 this season, went 1-15 in Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference play and lost 19 of their last 20 games.

Wicker-McCree says the school is launching a national search to find Robinson's replacement.
