LEXINGTON, Ky. (AP) Kentucky freshman forward Batouly Camara has been granted a request to transfer, making her the sixth Wildcat to leave since last fall.
Athletic department spokesman Evan Crane confirmed Monday via text that the 6-foot-2 New York, New York, native had sought the release. Camara averaged 5.1 points and 4.3 rebounds in 33 games with 14 starts including the third-seeded Wildcats' 85-72 loss to No. 7 seed Washington in the Lexington Region semifinal of the women's NCAA Tournament.
Camara's 142 rebounds tied for ninth most by a Kentucky freshman.
