James Madison women upset No. 23 UCLA 91-87 in OT

HARRISONBURG, Va. (AP) James Madison's Precious Hall scored 25 points and finished perfect from the free-throw line to lead the Dukes to a 91-87 upset of No. 23 UCLA on Friday.

The Bruins led 75-73 with 8 second left in regulation before Hall made two free throws to send it into overtime. She made two more free throws with 6 seconds left to extend the lead to 91-87.

Hall finished 12 of 12 from the line.

Lauren Okafor had a double-double with 16 points and 16 rebounds for James Madison, which overcame a 14-point second-half deficit. Toia Giggetts also added 16 points.

Nirra Fields led UCLA with 26 points, while Jordin Canada had 15 points and 10 rebounds. Lajahna Drummer finished with 15 points.

UCLA led 40-28 at halftime. But the Dukes scored 47 points in the second period and capitalized on 14 second-half turnovers by UCLA. The Bruins committed 26 turnovers to 13 for the Dukes.

It's James Madison's first win over a ranked opponent since beating No. 14 Virginia in 2009.
