Dawn Evans got James Madison back in the NCAA tournament.

Evans had 24 points and eight assists to lead James Madison to a 67-61 win over Delaware in the Colonial Athletic Association championship game Sunday.

The Dukes (26-7) earned the league's automatic berth into the NCAA tournament for the second straight year and sixth time overall.

''I'm very proud for this senior group, they've been wonderful for this university,'' James Madison coach Kenny Brooks said. ''For them to go out like this, there's no better feeling as a coach.''

Evans and Courtney Hammer (15 points) combined for 11 3-pointers and Lauren Jimenez added 12 points and 14 rebounds for James Madison.

Three-pointers by Evans and Hammer led James Madison on an 11-0 run to start, and the Dukes took a 35-27 lead into halftime. Elena Della Donne led the Blue Hens (20-13) with 23 points. Her 3-pointer with 20 seconds left cut lead to 63-59, but Evans sealed the win with two free throws on James Madison's next possession.

''I'm just really happy for me and my girls and my coaching staff because I feel like we really earned it,'' Evans said.

Danielle Parker added 14 points and 10 rebounds for Delaware.
