High Point women's basketball coach Tooey Loy has resigned, effective immediately.
Athletic director Craig Keilitz announced Loy's decision Wednesday, and the school named assistant Karen Curtis McConico as the interim head coach.
Loy was 163-135 in 10 seasons at High Point, including 88-56 in the Big South. The Panthers were 16-15 this season, and 9-7 in league play.
McConico holds the school records with 2,616 points and 645 assists from 1994-98 and has been on High Point's staff for seven seasons.
