Hall, No. 23 James Madison women beat UNC-Wilmington 85-49

WILMINGTON, N.C. (AP) Precious Hall scored 25 points on Thursday night to lead No. 23 James Madison women to its 14th consecutive win, 85-49 over North Carolina-Wilmington.

Ashley Perez added 13 points and Jazmon Gwathmey had 11 and a career-high five steals for James Madison (23-2, 14-0 Colonial Athletic Association).

Hall scored 12 during a 14-2 run which gave the Dukes a 31-18 lead with six minutes left in the first half.

James Madison took a 36-26 advantage into the break and scored 14 of the first 16 in the second half - including eight by Hall - to push its lead to 22 with 15:47 to play and led by as many as 40.

Shatia Cole and Brie Mobley led UNC-Wilmington (10-15, 6-8), which committed 25 turnovers, with 11 points apiece.

Kelva Atkins, the Seahawks leading scorer (17.9 per game), scored just four points on 2-of-10 shooting. She was averaging 20.5 points, on .509 shooting, in her last four games against James Madison.
