Duke's Williams leads all-ACC women's hoops team
GREENSBORO, N.C. (AP) Duke center Elizabeth Williams has made the all-Atlantic Coast Conference women's basketball first team for the fourth straight year.
Two players each from Notre Dame and North Carolina lead the 10-player all-conference first team announced Tuesday by commissioner John Swofford and selected by a panel of media members and team representatives.
Williams is the second four-time all-ACC pick in league history, joining Alana Beard of Duke (2001-04).
Jewell Loyd and Brianna Turner represent the regular-season champion Fighting Irish. The Tar Heels placed Allisha Gray and Stephanie Mavunga on the team.
Also on the team were Florida State's Adut Bulgak, Georgia Tech's Kaela Davis, Miami's Adrienne Motley, Pitt's Brianna Kiesel and Wake Forest's Dearica Hamby.
Loyd averages an ACC-best 20.7 points. Turner, a freshman, has a league-best 68 percent shooting percentage.
