Hill scores career-high 24, Mystics beat Sun 84-76 in OT

UNCASVILLE, Conn. (AP) Tayler Hill had a career-high 24 points and seven assists to help the Washington Mystics beat the Connecticut Sun 84-76 in overtime on Saturday night.

Hill hit 10 of 11 free throws, including 6 of 6 after regulation. Bria Hartley added 16 points and Emma Meesseman scored 14 for the Mystics (1-3).

Alyssa Thomas scored 18, while Jasmine Thomas added 13 points, nine rebounds, seven assists and three steals for Connecticut (1-2). Kelsey Bone had 12 points and 10 rebounds.

Camille Little's layup with two minutes remaining in the extra period pulled the Sun to 75-74. However, Hill found Tierra Ruffin-Pratt for a corner 3 that sparked a 9-2 run to seal it.

Washington's Stephanie Dolson made 1 of 2 free throws with 1.8 seconds left in regulation to force overtime.

A jumper by Little gave Connecticut its biggest lead of the game, 43-35, with 5:35 left in the third, but Washington responded with an 11-2 run to take the lead.
