Fresh off signing a new deal on Thursday, rising UFC star Paige VanZant was booked for her first main event as she squares off with Joanne Calderwood on Dec. 10 from the The Chelsea at the Cosmopolitan in Las Vegas.

UFC officials announced that fight along with a slew of matchups for the card airing live on UFC Fight Pass.

VanZant traveled to Las Vegas this week to ink a new contract with the UFC after picking up three wins to start her career with the promotion. While the terms of the deal weren't released, FOX Sports can confirm VanZant signed a multi-fight contract and will face former "Ultimate Fighter" veteran Joanne Calderwood, who takes the fight after picking up her second win in the UFC in July over Cortney Casey in her home country of Scotland.

Calderwood was one of the top prospects coming off the reality show with an extensive background in Muay Thai kickboxing, and she should present the biggest challenge of VanZant's young career.

Officials also announced a huge slate of bouts for the night including the co-main event pitting former "Ultimate Fighter" winner Michael Chiesa vs. Jim Miller in a lightweight battle.

The UFC Fight Night card kicks off a huge weekend in Las Vegas, followed by "The Ultimate Fighter" finale on Dec. 11 and then UFC 194: Aldo vs. McGregor on Dec. 12.
