UFC World: Cathal Pendred and Tor Troeng join the show
On this week's UFC World podcast host Gareth A Davies talks with Cathal Pendred and Tor Troeng. Pendred expresses the view that it is better to make his debut in Ireland than on The Ultimate Fighter Finale card this weekend in Las Vegas. Pendred is currently in Iceland training with Conor MacGregor and Gunnar Nelson. "It's a great learning atmosphere with the fighters and coaches. 24/7, there no distractions. It's the perfect atmosphere."
Pendred also says that Lyoto Machida is his "favourite fighter at the moment" and he thinks the Brazilian will cause Weidman plenty of problems this weekend at UFC 175. Not can he see Ronda Rousey being overhauled as champion.
He can also see MacGregor getting a title shot before the end of the year.
Troeng, who also fights on the Dublin card, discusses his work at University, which he combines with full-time fighting. He believes that his scientific mind assists him in creating angles and a strategy when he prepares for opponents.
