UFC on Fox 22 results: Urijah Faber def. Brad Pickett by unanimous decision
Urijah Faber stepped into the Octagon for the very last time against Brad Pickett on the main card of UFC Fight Night in Sacramento.
After a long and very talented career, ‘The California Kid’ Urijah Faber has stepped into the UFC octagon for the very last time. Faber fought Brad Pickett in his hometown of Sacramento, California tonight and the scene was amazing. The crowd was behind him as was the whole MMA community.
Urijah Faber looked relaxed as he made his way to the octagon for the very last time in front of the hometown crowd. There was a quick acknowledgment to the fans as he entered the octagon and then it was all down to business.
Round 1:
The round started with both men exchanging kicks.Faber with a straight front kick and Pickett with some good low kicks. Faber had some good knees from the clinch. Faber then rocked Pickett with a huge left hook, and he followed Picket to the ground and almost had the fight finished. He laid on some heavy ground-and-pound, but Pickett is able to make it to the end of the round.

Round 2:
The round began for Faber with some good knees to the face of Pickett. Pickett was landing great low kicks to Faber’s calves. The low kicks were taking their toll on Faber and he shot for the take down. Faber took top control and was landing some powerful shots. They make their way back to their feet, and continue to exchange punches. Faber pushed Pickett to the ground and follows him there. Faber went for the choke but was unable to sink it in.
Round 3:
Faber was able to get a take down in the opening 30 seconds of the round. Faber went for the front headlock but Pickett was able to escape. They both get back to the feet, where Pickett hit Faber and sent him to the mat. Faber jumped right back up and continued to push forward. The third round came to an end and the fight went to the judges’ score card.

The official derision was 30-26 on all cards in favor of Urijah Faber.
