UFC Hidalgo FOX Sports 1 Main Card Staff Predictions

UFC Hidalgo, like most fight night cards on the promotion’s non-stop streak is sneaking up on fans this weekend, but Cage Pages has their picks in.
UFC Hidalgo comes off the heels of a great pay-per-view event with some crazy fights. This event comes near the Mexican border, and might be overlooked by some fans.
UFC 203 improved most of the records of the staff, with the lowest result being a 2-3 slate.
Leading the way with a perfect 5-0 were contributors Jake Krier and Jason Payne, and site expert Danny Doherty. Coming in at 4-1 were contributors Ryan Wagner, Jack Kopanski, and Mitch Williams. At 3-2 were contributors Anthony Mazziotti, Sean Bio, and Ryan D’Souza. The rest landed at 2-3, which were contributors Gabriel Gonzalez, Dalton Granstrom, Al Stover, and Justin Huffman.
Tonight’s card might lack name power, but it more than makes up for it in interesting matchups:

The closest matchup on the card if our picks are any indication is the fight between grapplers Chris Wade and Islam Makhachev, with Wade taking home six of the 11 picks. Both Kenny Robertson and Derek Brunson received seven votes to four. The main event is fairly clear cut, with Dustin Poirier getting nine picks. Only one writer chose Maximo Blanco over Chas Skelly, while Evan Dunham was a unanimous selection over the debuting Rick Glenn.
