UFC Fight Night on FOX lands in Newark, New Jersey on April 18

The UFC is coming back to Brick City with a UFC Fight Night on FOX card set for April 18 at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey.

The new fight card was announced during Saturday night's UFC Fight Night on FOX Sports 1 card.

The last time a card airing on FOX originated from New Jersey the show took place in East Rutherford with Nate Diaz taking on Jim Miller in the main event. The UFC's last trip to Newark was for the UFC 169 fight card earlier this year when Renan Barao took on Urijah Faber in the bantamweight main event.

Newark has hosted a ton of UFC shows over the years with crowds filtering in from New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania for the centrally located arena.

Several huge fights have taken place at the Prudential Center including the night Jon Jones won the UFC light heavyweight title from Mauricio "Shogun" Rua at UFC 128 in 2011.

The next card will air live on FOX on April 18 from the Prudential Center with more details about the event including a main event and ticket on sale dates to be announced in the coming weeks.
