In a UFC welterweight bout, Belal Muhammad defeated Randy Brown by unanimous decision to close out the preliminary card for UFC 208.

Belal Muhammad helped end the preliminary card in style as he came out on top over Randy Brown by unanimous decision. Two judges scored the fight 30-27 with another giving it 29-28, all in favor of Muhammad.

Muhammad and Brown showcased a plethora of leg kicks in a very close first round. The judges might be split on this one. But Muhammad appeared to be slightly better in the round. He landed kicks continuously and forced Brown to back up several times throughout the first round.

The excessive leg kicks continued through the first minute of the second round. Muhammad ended the leg kick action, pushing Brown to the cage. But Brown escaped and responded with some quick jabs to bust him open. Joe Rogan noted that Brown was poked, but the fight continued.

Midway through the second round, both fighters brought back the kicking action to the match. With a minute left to go in the round, Muhammad dragged Brown to the ground and went for a rear-naked choke. Despite not locking it in tight, he landed on several shots with a hammer fist to wrap up the round.

Despite a pair of gruelling rounds, both fighters came out aggressive to star the third round. Muhammad continued with the leg kicks while Brown connected with some strikes to the head.

Muhammad once again took the fight to the ground, gaining control over Brown, staying on top of him. Just like the end of the second round, Brown unloaded with head strikes. But Brown turned the tables with 30 seconds left to go, looking to end the fight by TKO, but the final horn blew to send the fight to the judges.

Coming off a loss at UFC 205, Muhammad is now on the winning track as his record stands at 11-2. Muhammad is 2-2 in the UFC. Brown’s two-fight win streak has been snapped, now putting him at 9-2 in his MMA career. It is his second loss in the UFC.
