On the heels of a four-fight win streak, Invicta FC women’s strawweight champion Angela Hill, makes her return to the UFC to fight Jessica Andrade.

Olimpo MMA’s Biel Carvalho first reported the UFC 207 matchup, which was later confirmed by FOX Sports.

Hill, who had been on the roster for almost a year between 2014 and 2015 after a brief appearance on The Ultimate Fighter, was released after suffering her second straight loss last October, and immediately went to Invicta. With wins in each of her four fights in the promotion, two by decision, two by knockout, she pushed her career professional record to 6-2.

For Andrade, this will be her third-straight fight at strawweight, after fighting at bantamweight for the majority of her career. She is currently riding a two-fight win streak, finishing both Jessica Penne and Joanne Calderwood.

The two have similar fighting styles, with both having backgrounds in Muay Thai and Kickboxing – Hill actually also holds an undefeated 16-0 record in kickboxing matches – so this fight has the potential to be a stand-up war. However, should the fight go to the ground, Hill will be at a pointed disadvantage in both size and skill, as she has never won a fight by submission – though she has lost one – and Andrade is also a practitioner of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, submitting Joanne Calderwood in her last outing.

After current UFC strawweight champion Joanna Jedrzejczyk closely beat fellow Pole, Karolina Kowalkiewicz, a win for Andrade could boost her into the title conversation. All things considered as well, Andrade should be able to make quick work of Hill.

Hill’s run in Invicta has been impressive, but the talent level in UFC is a measurable step up, and Andrade is an incredibly versatile and dangerous opponent. With Hill’s two losses coming to current top-10 strawweight contenders, and facing another in Andrade, expect a very similar outcome.

UFC 207 is already shaping up to be one of the best cards of the year, and this fight just adds to the name recognition that is already all throughout the card. The event will take place on December 30 in Las Vegas’ T-Mobile Arena and it is headlined by the return of Ronda Rousey, as she takes on current champion Amanda Nunes.
