Chris Weidman brought Stephen Thompson in to his camp to prepare for UFC 194, as he'd often done in the past. The welterweight contender brings a pretty unique look and set of abilities and has helped many other top fighters prepare, including Georges St-Pierre and Rashad Evans.

After working with Weidman many times over the years, Thompson is obviously upset for his friend and training partner after he lost his middleweight belt in a rough TKO, last Saturday at UFC 194. We asked him to guess how Weidman will recover from the defeat, mentally.

"Anybody would be disappointed," Thompson said. "If he's anything like me, I know it is eating him up."

With that said, Thompson has confidence that Weidman will bounce back, psychologically, and make a successful comeback. After all, though the loss to Rockhold was Weidman's first in his MMA career, he's overcome lots of other adversity, over the years.

"He's going to be stronger and better than before," Thompson assured.

"He's just that kind of person. He is very competitive. Once he gets his mind right -- and it may already be -- he's going to be unstoppable.

"The other guys in his division should be afraid of Chris after a loss like that. I know how he is, man. He's fairly similar to me. After my loss to Matt Brown, I beat myself up about it, but then I got back to work and got a lot better. I try to keep positive people around me, and Chris does that. He has great people in his life who will help support him. And he will be back."
