Khabib Nurmagomedov has found himself a new fan in hip hop legend Snoop Dogg

Taking to Instagram, rap icon Snoop Dogg shared a few thoughts on the undefeated Khabib Nurmagomedov while providing live commentary during Dagestani’s fight against fellow lightweight Michael Johnson at UFC 205 on Saturday.

“I got my money on this [expletive] Khabib,” the rapper tells fans. “I ain’t never heard of him but the way I’m seeing him f–k this [expletive] up, I got Khabib Nurmagomedov against anybody in lightweight, whoever lightweight.”

Nurmagomedov (24-0), a Sambo world champion, dominated Johnson from pillar to post with his relentless wrestling attack before finishing the fight with a tight kimura late in the third round. This victory extended Nurmagomedov’s win streak to eight straight.

Immediately after the fight, ‘The Eagle’ took to the mic to call out the winner of the lightweight title fight between Conor McGregor and Eddie Alvarez later on in the night.

“I want to stay humble but other guys talk too much,” said Nurmagomedov before calling out the Irish fans in attendance. “Irish only 6 million, Russia 150 million, I want to fight your chicken. What do you say about 24-win streak? Let’s go, let’s go with your chicken.”

McGregor would eventually emerge victorious over Alvarez with a second round knockout, earning the UFC’s 155-pound title in the process.

When asked about Nurmagomedov’s comment in his post-fight press conference, McGregor simply brushed off the callout.

“He’s fought once in eight years,” McGregor told the media. “He ain’t fight too frequent for my liking. For me to commit to something like that, I need to see solid proof that people are gonna show up and he’s a consistent pull-out merchant. He had a good performance tonight. Fair play to him.

“I need to see active. I need to see activity. I need to see consistency. I need to see me. If you want me to come and change your life, if you want me to come pick you, you better have some damn reasons for me to do that.”
