Shane Mosley, Ricardo Mayorga, Jake Shields & more on FATK
The Fighter and The Kid have been talking a lot about the embattled upcoming major boxing match between former welterweight champions Shane Mosley and Fernando Mayorga. In fact, late last week, they had the future hall of famer Mosley on the show.
During that great conversation they discuss Mosley's choice to come out of retirement and fight into relative old age, his son's boxing talents and future, and a lot else. That episode is below and is a must-listen for any fan of the sweet science.
More recently, however, Brendan told Bryan, Evan and guest Jake Shields about his accidental run-in with the Mayorga camp. As it turns out, shortly after interviewing Mosley, Brendan saw Mayorga at a Los Angeles boxing gym while he himself was working out.
According to the UFC heavyweight, Mayorga was far from in shape, didn't have any professional sparring partners, and finished his workout session with cigarettes. None of that would come as a real surprise to long-time followers of the charismatic Nicaraguan, but it was still a sight to behold in person for Schaub.
