Ronda Rousey lands at No. 3 in 2015 for Google's top trending people

Ronda Rousey's year didn't end as well as it started but the former UFC women's bantamweight champion was still one of the most popular celebrities online in 2015, according to Google.
The search engine released its list of the top 10 trending people for 2015 and Rousey landed at No. 3 for the entire year.
The list is comprised of people who recorded the highest spikes in web traffic during 2015.
Rousey came in No. 3 overall after becoming one of the biggest crossover stars the sport of mixed martial arts has ever created. Rousey's year started with a 14-second submission over Cat Zingano, her performance going viral almost immediately after the fight.
Rousey followed that up with a 34-second knockout over Bethe Correia in Brazil in a card that will likely go down as one of the UFC's biggest of the year.
Rousey's banner year came to a crashing halt in November, however, after she was knocked out with a vicious head kick by Holly Holm at UFC 193. Though Rousey's loss didn't deter fans from searching her name out online and she still managed to become one of the most talked about athletes in all of 2015.
As far as her ranking at the end of the year, Rousey finished behind only former NBA star Lamar Odom, who was hospitalized after being found unconscious at a Nevada brothel, and Caitlyn Jenner, who transitioned this year while also starring in her own series titled "I Am Cait" on the E! network.
Rousey did manage to finish ahead of presidential candidate Donald Trump, who came in at No. 4 for the year. That might be a moral victory for Rousey, whom Trump bad mouthed following her loss to Holm in November.
