Ovince St-Preux breaks Ryan Jimmo's arm to win at UFC 174

Wearing his best Volunteer orange, Ovince St-Preux stepped into enemy territory Saturday night where he dispatched of Ryan Jimmo with an arm breaking submission to pick up his fifth win in a row since debuting in the UFC.
Since coming to the UFC via Strikeforce, the former Tennessee football player has continued to climb the ranks with impressive performances. In his last fight, St-Preux pulled off the ultra rare Von Flue choke and this time around he took his Canadian opponent to the mat and proceeded to snap his arm while working for the finish.
While the first round saw a back and forth battle with Jimmo outstriking St-Preux, the second round brought a much different result.
St-Preux locked up Jimmo's arm and as he ripped it up behind his back, the Canadian screamed out 'my arm is broken' repeatedly as the referee swooped in to stop the action before any more damage was done.
"I broke it with a chicken wing," St-Preux said. "That's not the first time it's happened."
St-Preux has quickly become a legitimate threat to the top 10 after picking up his fifth straight victory with finishes in every, single fight. Following the win over Jimmo it would be easy to see St-Preux get a crack at a higher ranked opponent to see exactly where he stands in the 205-pound division.
