Nelson to face Dave Herman at UFC 146

Roy Nelson gets yet another new opponent for his UFC 146 bout, as Dave Herman will replace Gabriel Gonzaga on the all-heavyweight main card, according to the UFC.
Nelson originally was supposed to face Antonio "Bigfoot" Silva at UFC 146, but when Alistair Overeem was removed from the main event, the card was shuffled and Nelson was slated to take on Gonzaga. But Gonzaga now must bow out because of a yet-to-be-announced injury.
Nelson (16-7) enters UFC 146 coming off a loss to Fabricio Werdum at UFC 143 in February. The man known as "Big Country" has lost three out of his past four bouts.
Herman (21-3) last was seen in a loss to Stefan Struve at UFC on FUEL TV: Sanchez vs. Ellenberger on Feb. 15. Herman previously had beaten John-Olav Einemo in his UFC debut at UFC 131.
UFC 146 takes place May 26 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. The all-heavyweight main card is headlined by Junior Dos Santos' first title defense against former heavyweight champ Frank Mir.
