Nate Diaz makes reporter apologize for doubting him with tattoo dig

UFC commentator Jon Anik is so confident that Conor McGregor will beat Nate Diaz at UFC 196 this Saturday that he said he'd permanently ink his body if the Irishman loses.
Speaking on the latest episode of the "Anik and Florian Podcast," Anik said that considering the short notice on which Diaz took the fight, there's little chance that his conditioning is at a championship level, and little doubt that McGregor is ready for five championship rounds.
"I got Conor McGregor; I got him by first-round knockout or TKO," Anik said. "I'm just not convinced — as much as you know I love these Diaz brothers — that Nate is in championship shape. And I think cardio has always been a big key to his style, to his success.
"I'm going to say it here for the masses to hear: I will get the area code 209 (where Diaz is from) tattooed on the inside of my forearm if Nate Diaz beats Conor McGregor."
The Vegas odds, which have Diaz as a +290 underdog, seem to agree with Anik, but one person who took offense to that claim was Diaz. The former title contender let it be known that Anik should keep his opinions to himself, though he didn't communicate it that eloquently.
John Anik should keep his bitchass opinion to his self #uwillsoonbeslaped ?? https://t.co/HvFXOHWnGX pic.twitter.com/VJcbQ2XYGX

Anik responded, apologizing and implying that the quote had been taken out of context.
@NateDiaz209 Massive fan of yours. Was a lot more to what was said. Sorry for my comments and any misunderstanding. Not at all my intention.

McGregor and Diaz will square off the main event of UFC 196 on Saturday. We'll see if Diaz can prove the doubters wrong in the biggest fight of his career.
