Nate Diaz: I'm the only one in MMA who beats Floyd in a boxing ring

While UFC featherweight champion Conor McGregor and boxing great Floyd Mayweather take turns promoting a fight that is probably never going to happen, and pundits debate the likelihood of the fight and who would win, the only man to beat McGregor in the Octagon, Nate Diaz, wants to make one thing clear.
He's the only one in MMA that could beat Mayweather in a boxing ring.
The Stockton, Calif. native posted the statement to Twitter on Tuesday with a video of former WBA and WBC super middleweight champion talking about how hard it was to spar against Diaz.

"He's hard to fight ... I mean he's really hard to spar, really. They call it the Stockton Slap because he'll slap you to death, man, and I don't mean that in a bad way," Ward said. "He always comes in shape and he throws a million punches from a million different angles ... he's just a bad boy."
Diaz finished McGregor by submission, but it was his boxing that wore down the Irishman over the first round and a half, and his highly effective left-right combo that stumbled McGregor and forced him to shoot for a takedown.
Once the fight hit the ground, it was a wrap for McGregor.
Talks of a potential rematch between McGregor and Diaz have stalled of late, while the McGregor-Mayweather buzz has picked up. But regardless of the fight, Diaz wants to be in the conversation.
