Myles Jury vs. Abel Trujillo agreed for UFC Fight Night in San Antonio

Published Apr. 24, 2014 12:36 p.m. ET

Following a masterful performance dispatching Diego Sanchez in his last fight, Myles Jury will get back to work on June 28 when he takes on dangerous striker Abel Trujillo at UFC Fight Night in San Antonio.

Jury (14-0) has been on an incredible run of late, keeping his perfect record in tact while steadily climbing up the rankings.  Including his win over Sanchez, Jury has now amassed a 5-0 record inside the Octagon.

Jury will compete on the card alongside his teammate and close friend Jeremey Stephens, who is in the main event of the evening as he takes on Cub Swanson in a five round title eliminator at featherweight.  Jury and Stephens both train out of the Alliance Training Center in San Diego alongside former bantamweight champion Dominick Cruz and current top five ranked light heavyweight Phil Davis.

Abel Trujillo (12-5, 1 NC) has become a feared striker since coming to the UFC in late 2012.  The Blackzilians fighter has recently won two straight fights including knockouts over both Jamie Varner and Roger Bowling.

He'll now take a big step up in competition facing Jury on the upcoming UFC Fight Night card in San Antonio.

UFC officials have yet to announce a bout order for the upcoming San Antonio card, but it's likely Jury and Trujillo will occupy a slot on the main card for the show airing on FOX Sports 1.
