Michael Chiesa vs. Beneil Dariush reportedly set for huge UFC on FOX card

Lightweight contenders Michael Chiesa and Beneil Dariush are reportedly set to face one another at April 16's UFC on FOX card. Both men are riding win streaks heading into this important matchup.

TUF-winner Chiesa has won his last two and four out of his last five overall. Dariush has won five straight fights. The winner of this bout would likely jump ahead considerably in the line for an eventual title shot.

Dariush last fought in August, beating Michael Johnson. Chiesa last fought in December, scoring a submission over Jim Miller.

The UFC on FOX card has only had three fights set, but is already a stacked event. Former light heavyweight champions Rashad Evans and Mauricio "Shogun" Rua are tabbed to lock up.

Additionally, Tony Ferguson and Khabib Nurmagomedov are expected to meet to decide who deserves the next crack at the UFC lightweight title strap.

The location of the event hasn't been finalized, but according to the report from Helwani, Tampa, Fl. is one of the contending cities. We'll keep you posted as this card develops.
