Matt Brown struck 3 times by fans on his way to the Octagon

Matt Brown didn't exactly endear himself to the Brazilian fans at the UFC 198 weigh-ins after he threw several obscene gestures at the crowd before stepping on the scale for his fight with Demian Maia.

The riled up crowed at the 45,000 seat stadium in Curitiba decided to pay him back with several fans actually hitting Brown on the way to the Octagon on Saturday night.

As Brown made his walk to the cage, he was slapped in the back of the head and the top of the head on two occasions while security tried to surround him to keep him shielded.

The third time a fan grabbed Brown's hood and hit him at the same time and he finally turned around and appeared to shove the person before security could intervene.

The rowdy moment was caught on film as Brown tried to concentrate on his walk out to face Maia in the Octagon.

Unfortunately things didn't get much better for the Ohio native as he was submitted by Maia with a third round rear naked choke.
