Manager says Travis Browne wants Ben Rothwell next

Big Ben Rothwell's words are not being forgotten by fellow UFC heavyweight Travis Browne. Browne's manager John Fosco told UFC Tonight that "Hapa" hasn't forgotten how Rothwell publicly said a few fights ago that he wanted to lock up with him.

So, Browne wants to fight the surging Rothwell, next. The fight would seem to be much more appealing for Browne than for Rothwell at this point, however.

After winning three straight fights in 2013, the Hawaiian big man has lost two out of his last three to Andrei Arlovski and current champion Fabricio Werdum. Rothwell, on the other hand, has won three straight fights.

In his last three outings, Rothwell has stopped Brandon Vera, Matt Mitrione and Alistair Overeem. The Wisconsin heavyweight is knocking on the door of title contention.

None of that is to say that the match up wouldn't be an exciting or evenly-contested one, as it surely would be. Time will tell if Rothwell or the UFC return Browne's interest in the proposed fight.
