A key flyweight fight has been added to UFC Fight Night 99 in North Ireland

On Tuesday the UFC announced a flyweight fight between Ian McCall vs. Neil Seery has been added to UFC Fight Night 99 in Belfast, Northern Ireland.

McCall (13-5-1,) a former Tachi Palace Fights flyweight champion, has not been seen inside the Octagon since his decision loss to John Lineker at UFC 183 in January 2015. Since then, a myriad of injuries and surgeries have forced ‘Uncle Creepy’ to watch from the sidelines. He was expected to return at UFC 201 before his opponent, Justin Scoggins, pulled out due to issues with his weight cut. As a result, McCall was pulled from the card altogether.

He was slated to make his return to the Octagon at UFC 203 earlier this month, this time against Ray Borg. However, once again, McCall’s opponent pulled out the week of the fight. Following yet another change in opponents, McCall publicly expressed interest in challenging Seery on the Northern Ireland card.

Seery (16-12), a former Cage Warriors champion, will also be looking to get back into the win column after dropping a decision to former UFC title challenger Kyoji Horiguchi in May. Prior to this setback, the man known as ‘2Tap’ submitted Jon delos Reyes with a second round guillotine, earning his Performance of the Night bonus in the process.

UFC Fight Night 99 will go down on Nov. 19 at SSE Arena in Belfast, Northern Ireland. Broadcast plans have not yet been announced. This event will mark the UFC’s second trip in Belfast. The promotion previously held UFC 72, headlined by Rich Franklin vs. Yushin Okami in June 2007, in Northern Ireland.

It should also be noted, this is the first of two fight cards that will take place on Nov. 19 as later that night fans will witness UFC Fight Night 100 in Brazil.

Here is how the rest of the card is shaping up:
