The April 2009 bout between Carlos Condit and Martin Kampmann was a Fight of the Year candidate, a clinic of MMA on its highest level, with the action contested technically in every discipline. It was so closely fought that at its conclusion, there was no consensus winner, with a split-decision going in Kampmann’s favor.
