Michael Bisping called out Georges St-Pierre on Twitter on Tuesday, demanding a fight at UFC 206. GSP has officially responded to him with a video.

Back in 2013, Georges St-Pierre retired from the sport of MMA after his title defense against Johny Hendricks. According to him, he lost the fire and desire to compete in the sport and wanted to take some time off.

Three years later, GSP is ready to step back into the sport. Unfortunately, things aren’t going so well, specifically his relationship with the UFC. Most of these issues are coming to terms with a contract.

In an interview with Ariel Helwani on The MMA Hour, GSP explained to Helwani that he’s now a free agent. “It was a shock because we felt like we were making progress,” he said. If the UFC doesn’t reach a deal with GSP, he won’t be fighting at UFC 206 in Toronto.

On Tuesday, we may have received a glimmer of hope. UFC middleweight champion Michael Bisping took to Twitter to call out GSP.

He even went on to say the fight was offered to him and he verbally agreed.

Unfortunately, UFC president Dana White debunked those rumors. But, this isn’t the first time that White has said a fight isn’t happening. He said the same thing about Brock Lesnar fighting at UFC 200, and look how that turned out.

But GSP has officially responded to Bisping on Twitter and it isn’t the best news.

At this point, we’re sure that there’s nothing more that GSP wants right now than to fight in front of his people at UFC 206.

He states that he “made peace” with White and the UFC in a meeting, but it just seems like he can’t strike a deal with the promotion.

Time is ticking at this point and having him on the card right now is unlikely.
