Floyd Mayweather: Ronda Rousey 'will never be at my status'

The Money Team turned to Forbes in its latest rebuttal.

The back and forth between Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Ronda Rousey continues to snowball, with financial prowess quickly becoming a huge point of contention. Rousey, in response to a jab by Mayweather, recently said she earns more money “per second” in her UFC fights than Mayweather makes in his boxing matches. That prompted a counterattack from Mayweather’s camp.

“Big bank take little bank,” Mayweather said in a statement issued through a TMT member, according to TMZ Sports. “Let’s play and see how much money you got.”

“Last time I checked I was #1 on Forbes,” Mayweather reportedly added in the statement. “She will never be at my status. Keep trying to get publicity.”

According to Forbes, Mayweather is correct. The financial fight is no contest. Mayweather is far and away the highest-paid athlete in the world and he’s not afraid to show it.

But this feud goes beyond dollars and cents. It’s personal. And there’s no end in sight.
