Fighters react to UFC 204, bid farewell to Dan Henderson

Dan Henderson might have lost his title fight against Michael Bisping on Saturday night, but there’s no doubt “Hendo” is a champion in the hearts of fans and fighters everywhere.

Henderson lost a unanimous decision to Bisping at UFC 204 in Manchester, England but it wasn’t nearly as lopsided as some expected it to be. Henderson uncorked his patented overhand right -- the same shot that ended Bisping’s night at UFC 100 -- several times throughout the fight, dropping Bisping once in each of the first two rounds.

Bisping remained resilient, however, and dragged the 46-year-old Henderson into the championship rounds and continued to unload with combinations until the final bell sounded.

The judges’ scorecards saw Bisping walk away as the winner with his chin intact, ready to fight another day while Henderson finished his storied career just short of achieving his final goal. Fighters took to Twitter after the bout to react to the decision and send their admiration to Henderson.
