Fight added to FOX Sports 1 card

A lightweight bout between Manny Gamburyan and Cole Miller will be part of UFC’s debut on FOX Sports 1 on Aug. 17, one of a trio of fights announced on UFC Tonight on FUEL TV on Tuesday.
Flyweights Darren Elkins and Hatsu Hioki will meet at the second UFC on FOX Sports 1 event in Indianapolis on Aug. 28. A flyweight fight between Louis Gaudinot and Tim Elliott was also added to the UFC 164 card set for Aug. 31.
It was also reported by UFC Tonight insider Ariel Helwani that two UFC champs — Jon Jones (light heavyweight) and Georges St-Pierre (welterweight) — are targeting October returns to the Octagon. Jones injured his toe at UFC 159 in April. St-Pierre, however, is seemingly healthy, leading top welterweight contender Johny Hendricks to hint that GSP is dodging the fight.
“It’s looking like it,” Hendricks said. “Just give me a date, time and place – that’s all I care about.”
Jones is looking to fight Alexander Gustafsson.
Also on the show, Urijah Faber said he doesn’t know what to make out of his opponent, Yuri Alcantara, set for FOX Sports 1’s debut event in Boston.
“I’ve got mixed feelings,” Faber said. “It’s huge to be on the new channel for the first fight, but the opponent is someone nobody really knows about.
“I don’t choose my fights. If someone asks me to fight in the Octagon, I have a hard time turning down fights. Who am I to say he doesn’t deserve it? He’s 27–4 and he’s got 24 finishes, 12 TKOs and 12 submissions. The guy has earned what he’s got.”
