Fabio Maldonado wants to welcome 'Rampage' Jackson back

Returning former UFC light heavyweight champion Quinton "Rampage" Jackson has often lamented about supposedly cautious opponents who put winning above excitement and won't stand and trade strikes with him.
Well, "Rampage" just got called out by the most blood-and-guts, violence-over-everything fighter on the UFC roster -- Fabio Maldonado.
The Brazilian has won four straight fights in the light heavyweight division and wants "Rampage" next, according to a new interview with Guilherme Cruz.
"I always wanted to fight 'Rampage'," Maldonado said.
"I'm sure 'Rampage' will stand and trade punches with me. He's dangerous ... He won't shy away from a brawl. His hands can knock anyone out in the UFC."
Maldonado went on to explain how it was difficult to watch a man he beat in the UFC, Joey Beltran, get to fight Jackson afterwards, in Bellator. "Rampage" would TKO Beltran in his next bout, while the Brazilian won a split decision over him.
"When I beat Beltran in the UFC, he went to Bellator and got the fight I always dreamed about," Maldonado explained. "I always wanted to fight 'Rampage', and the guy I beat got the chance. I want to fight him."
The 34 year-old said that he's back to training after a knee injury, and hopes that his manager can get the "Rampage" fight signed soon.
"I'm getting better every day, and I want to fight again in March," he said.
"My manager Alex Davis will talk to the UFC and I hope I have good news soon."
