Duane 'Bang' Ludwig will still be a part-time coach at Team Alpha Male

Following another big win by UFC bantamweight champion T.J. Dillashaw, former head coach of Team Alpha Male Duane 'Bang' Ludwig is finally ready to venture away from Sacramento to open his own facility in Westminster, Colorado.
Originally, Ludwig was scheduled to exit Team Alpha Male at the end of May after helping to shape and form the team into one of the best squads in the entire sport while leading Dillashaw to become the first UFC champion from the gym.
With Dillashaw's win over Renan Barao at UFC 173, Ludwig stuck around Sacramento to help the team transition to a new coach, but many of the fighters still looked to him for his expertise and tutelage.
So it appears the plan for Ludwig will now see him leave the Sacramento based team at least for a period of time while he opens his new gym according to UFC Tonight's Ariel Helwani. Once he gets his new facility open and running like a machine, Ludwig plans on dedicating more of his time to Team Alpha Male.
Ludwig will still be available for any of the fighters who need him -- for instance he will be in Chad Mendes' corner when he fights Jose Aldo at UFC 179 in October.
In the future, Ludwig may travel to Sacramento less and have some of the fighters venture out to his gym in Colorado as well. It seems as if for now, however, Ludwig is still going to remain at least a part time presence at Team Alpha Male.
He will have some help in his absence as Urijah Faber revealed over the weekend during UFC 177 that they are also planning on using UFC welterweight Martin Kampmann as a coach for the team as well.
