Here’s a DraftKings breakdown for UFC Fight Night 99: Mousasi vs. Hall 2, where you’ll see the best options for your lineup.

At UFC Fight Night 99, Gegard Mousasi will be looking for redemption against Uriah Hall. In the first meeting, he dominated the fight before he was caught with a vicious spinning back kick. He was finished shortly after.

In his mind, Mousasi still believes he’s the better fighter. It’s still a very interesting fight and anything can happen. Also fighting on the card is Ross Pearson, who will be facing lightweight prospect Stevie Ray.

As with every UFC fight card, there’s money to be made on DraftKings. To get a better idea of how it works, visit the Daily Fantasy MMA League Rules page.

UFC Fight Pass prelims

Justin Ledet ($8,200) vs. Mark Godbeer ($8,000)

Ledet had a very successful UFC debut against Chase Sherman, producing 87 fantasy points. He’ll be welcoming Godbeer to the UFC in his second bout.

Godbeer’s got a lot of power in his hands, but he’s over-aggressive, which leaves him vulnerable to getting tagged or taken down.

Ledet has showcased a great chin along with crisp boxing skills and a solid grappling game. He’s also a very active fighter. He landed 113 significant strikers against Sherman, which is incredible for a three-round fight.

Look for Ledet to get his boxing going early and he’ll pick apart Godbeer before finishing him late in the second round.

Pick: Justin Ledet by TKO in the second round

Zak Cummings ($9,000) vs. Alexander Yakovlev ($7,200)

Cummings (67 FPPG) is looking to bounce back after a disappointing loss to Santiago Ponzinibbio in his last bout. He’ll be facing technical striker Yakovlev (50.2).

There’s no doubt that Yakovlev has the advantage on the feet and he’ll find some success if he can keep it there. But, it’s hard to see how he can finish Cummings, who’s very durable.

Cummings is just more well-rounded than Yakovlev. His grappling is very underrated and he utilizes his striking to mix up his takedowns.

He’ll use all aspects of his game to get the victory here and get back in the win column. He’s also active, so even if he doesn’t get the finish, he’ll rack up a good amount of fantasy points.

Pick: Zak Cummings by decision

Marion Reneau ($9,100) vs. Milana Dudieva ($7,100)

After a controversial decision loss against Ashlee Evans-Smith, Reneau (52.5 FPPG) is looking to bounce back against Dudieva (29.8 FPPG).

Dudieva is well-rounded and tough, but Reneau has a lot more tools than she does. She has a significant reach advantage, her striking looks better in every fight, and her grappling is great.

Look for Reneau to keep her at distance with her striking. If it goes to the ground, she’ll be threatening with submissions as well.

Eventually, she’ll overwhelm Dudieva and finish her late in the fight.

Pick: Marion Reneau by TKO in the third round

Brett Johns ($8,700) vs. Kwan Ho Kwak ($7,500)

Based on footage from their fights, Johns seems more comfortable on the ground, while Kwak is more comfortable on the feet. Both fighters are making their UFC debut.

If Johns is able to get the fight to the ground, then he could secure a submission win. But, Kwak is very dynamic on the feet and if he could keep it there, he can score the knockout. A fade on this fight is likely, but exposure to both fighters in different lineups can be a possibility.

That being said, Kwak should be able to keep the fight on the feet and have the advantage there.

Pick: Kwan Ho Kwak by decision

Charlie Ward ($6,800) vs. Abdul Razak Alhassan ($9,400)

Both fighters are making their UFC debut. Based on footage from Ward, he seems very sloppy on the feet and looks to close the distance to try and clinch. On the other hand, Alhassan is 6-0 and they’re all first round finishes.

Look for him to catch Ward being reckless and he’ll put his lights out. He’s one of the most expensive fighters on the card, but he’ll get the job done because of his finishing ability.

Pick: Abdul Razak Alhassan by knockout in the first round

UFC Fight Pass prelims (cont.)

Ian McCall ($9,200) vs. Neil Seery ($7,000)

After being scheduled for two fights this year and his opponents pulling out, it looks like McCall (55 FPPG) will finally step into the cage. He’ll be facing the very tough Seery (54.5 FPPG).

This fight has all the makings of a fight of the night. Both fighters will go for it until one of them goes down. Seery is a solid striker who’s very durable and has an underrated ground game.

McCall is great everywhere, especially on the ground. That’s where he wins this fight. Seery will have a slight advantage on the feet, so look for McCall to use his wrestling to have the most success.

It’ll be a back and forth war, but McCall will come out on top. He may not be the best choice because of his price. but his skill set should lead him to produce a solid amount of fantasy points.

Pick: Ian McCall by decision

Magnus Cedenblad ($8,800) vs. Jack Marshman ($7,400)

Cedenblad (75.6 FPPG) has been on a tear recently. He’ll be welcoming Marshman to the UFC, who’s a very tough competitor.

Marshman seems comfortable in all areas, but he has the most success on the ground. The same can be said about Cedenblad. Other than losing to Francis Carmont, Cedenblad has won his last four fights in the UFC, two of them by submission.

His striking also looks better in every fight. Look for Marshman to cause some trouble, but Cedenblad’s range and striking will be the difference. Even if it goes to the ground, he’ll be able to fend off any attacks and attack with hiw own moves.

Cedenblad wins however he wants, but a submission is likely.

Pick: Magnus Cedenblad by submission in the second round

Kyoji Horiguchi ($8,400) vs. Ali Bagautinov ($7,800)

This bout is a very interesting one. Horiguchi (82.9 FPPG) is primarily a striker, but he can compete in all areas. The same thing can be said about Bagautinov (70.3 FPPG).

He’s mostly a grappler, but he has knockout power in his hands. It all comes down to who can impose their will more.

Bagautinov will definitely be looking to get this fight to the ground. He may score some takedowns, but it’s hard to see how he keeps Horiguchi there.

Horiguchi has great takedown defense and he’s also one of the best at getting back to his feet. Look for him to get his striking going early. He’ll keep Bagautinov guessing, stuff all of his takedown attempts, and picks him apart on the feet.

His timing and speed will be key in this match-up and he’ll put it to good use.

Pick: Kyoji Horiguchi by decision

Kevin Lee ($8,300) vs. Magomed Mustafaev ($7,900)

Lee (74.1 FPPG) looks better and better in every fight, but Mustafaev (94 FPPG) is no joke.

Lee is the most athletic and well-rounded fighter here. There’s no doubt about it. But, it’s hard to see how he utilizes his weapons against a beast like Mustafaev.

Mustafaev is an extremely powerful fighter. He has vicious knockout power and he’s great with landing strikes in uncomfortable situations.

Lee may be able to land some takedowns, but Mustafaev will find his chin soon enough. Lee has already shown a suspect chin and if Mustafaev is able to land, it’s lights out.

Based on his finishing ability and his overall game, Mustafaev takes this. At his price, he makes for a great value play and there’s a lot of upside if he can score the finish.

Pick: Magomed Mustafaev by TKO in the second round

Anna Elmose ($7,600) vs. Amanda Cooper ($8,600)

We’ve been high on Elmose for a while now. She only produced three fantasy points in her UFC debut, but was extremely undersized and in a new weight class, she’s an absolute force.

Cooper is 1-2 in her career and she hasn’t found much success yet. She had a great run in The Ultimate Fighter, but she lost pretty convincingly in the finale against Tatiana Suarez.

She’ll have a slight edge on the ground and she’s no slouch on the feet. But, it’s hard to overlook Elmose here.

Elmose had vicious knockout power against fighters much bigger than her. So, dropping down to the strawweight division will do wonders for her. She looks so much better in this weight class and she’ll prove that on Saturday.

Look for her to pour on the pressure on Cooper. She’ll use her powerful striking to hurt Cooper and eventually, she’ll get the finish. An early knockout is likely, which will score you a ton of fantasy points in your lineup.

At her price, she’s another great value play.

Pick: Anna Elmose by TKO in the first round

MANCHESTER, ENGLAND – OCTOBER 08: Gegard Mousasi of The Netherlands celebrates his victory over Vitor Belfort of Brazil in their middleweight bout during the UFC 204 Fight Night at the Manchester Evening News Arena on October 8, 2016 in Manchester, England. Main Card

Gegard Mousasi ($9,600) vs. Uriah Hall ($6,600)

Mousasi (75.6 FPPG) will look to continue what he started against Hall (60.4 FPPG). He was dominating the fight before he got caught in the second round.

Kudos to Hall, though. He was able to finish Mousasi, who has an incredible chin. There aren’t many people in the world who can take a shot like that.

That being said, Mousasi should beat Hall here and pretty handily. Hall might be a bit flashier on the feet, but Mousasi is more technical and will pick his shots. He’ll be able to rock him him and possibly finish.

He also has a clear advantage on the ground. He’ll take it there when he needs to and will go to work there as well. It’s all Mousasi here. He’s the most expensive fighter on the card, but he’s definitely worth the choice and will score a good amount of fantasy points.

Pick: Gegard Mousasi by TKO in the third round

Ross Pearson ($8,500) vs. Stevie Ray ($7,700)

Pearson (52.3 FPPG) has been a bit inconsistent lately, but he’s definitely a tough fighter. His striking has come a long way. Ray (69 FPPG) is also an up and coming fighter with many tools at his disposal.

Pearson may have a slight edge on the feet since he’s more technical, but his chin needs to be questioned. With a fighter like Ray, who can fighter anywhere, Ray can definitely find his chin.

It’s also no secret that Pearson has struggled with grapplers in the past. Look for Ray to win this fight however he wants. He can take him down and go to work there, or he can tag him on the feet and finish him.

The bottom line is Ray has a lot more ways to win this fight compared to Pearson. At his price, he’s one of the best value plays on the card.

Pick: Stevie Ray by decision

Timothy Johnson ($8,100) vs. Alexander Volkov ($8,100)

Johnson (64.2 FPPG) is currently 2-1 in the UFC and is looking to keep things going. Volkov will be making his UFC debut and is a tough fighter.

Volkov may have the advantage on the feet because of his height and reach. But, it won’t be by much. His first taste at a UFC caliber fighter was against Cheick Kongo and he lost pretty convincingly.

Look for Johnson to close the distance. He’ll be able to clinch up with Volkov and land some strikes at close range. He’ll also use the clinch to get this fight to the ground.

He may get tagged up a bit, but his chin will hold up. His style of fighting should work perfectly against Volkov.

Pick: Timothy Johnson by decision

Artem Lobov ($7,300) vs. Teruto Ishihara ($8,900)

Plain and simple. This fight will mostly be contested on the feet. Both Lobov (23 FPPG) and Ishihara (89 FPPG) have great chins and are primarily strikers.

These two will be swinging until one of them goes down. Lobov has power in his hands, but he’s a bit stiff and resorts to being wild when things aren’t going his way.

We believe that Ishihara is more composed and has more tools. He should be able to get his striking going and win this fight.

Pick: Teruto Ishihara by decision

High Salary plays

Gegard Mousasi ($9,600): He’ll dominate Hall everywhere this fight goes. He should score a ton of fantasy points.

Abdul Razak Alhassan ($9,400): His knockout power will be the difference. A first round knockout is likely.

Marion Reneau ($9,100): She’ll have the advantage in every aspect of this fight. A finish is likely.

Magnus Cedenblad ($8,800): He has a variety of tools at his disposal. From the striking, to the grappling, he can win in many ways.

High Value plays

Justin Ledet ($8,200): He’s very active with his boxing, which will score a ton of points. He’s also a solid grappler, which will give him another opportunity to win this fight.

Magomed Mustafaev ($7,900): His power and ability to find his shots will be essential in this fight. A finish is likely.

Stevie Ray ($7,700): He has many more ways to win this fight compared to his opponent. He should win wherever the fight goes.

Anna Elmose ($7,600): Being in a new weight class, she’ll be much more comfortable. Her pressure and vicious striking will get her the win.
