Dana White hints at Ronda Rousey vs. Holly Holm rematch

With both Ronda Rousey and Holly Holm in line to fight for UFC belts, we could see the much-anticipated rematch according to Dana White.
Arguably the biggest star in the UFC, Ronda Rousey is finally making her return to the UFC this month. She will be taking on the current champion Amanda Nunes at UFC 207 on December 30th in Las Vegas. Now it seems the woman that dethroned Rousey, Holly Holm will have the opportunity to fight for a belt herself. The UFC announced earlier this week that they will be creating the women’s featherweight division in 2017. Holm will fight Germaine de Randamie for that inaugural belt in February at UFC 208 in Brooklyn, New York.
UFC President Dana White spoke recently to ESPN regarding that situation and the possibility of Rousey fighting Holm again assuming they both win titles. White was questioned first about the fact that Cris Cyborg was not immediately in line for a shot at the 145lb belt. He responded by saying “We offered three fights, and she turned them all down, “We brought her in because she said she could make 135 pounds. When she couldn’t, the weight cut was too hard, we created the 145-pound division and she still does not want to fight.” White says that it is because of this the UFC went ahead and booked Holm vs. de Randamie.
If both Holm and Rousey were to become champions in the next couple of months could we see a champion vs. champion rematch bout? To this White responded “This is a business of opportunity. When an opportunity arises, you jump up and take it. If you don’t, the bus is gone, and it passes you by. If Holly wins and becomes a champion, and that’s the scenario [Rousey regains the title]? I guarantee people will want to see it.”
